Hill People Gear's Tarahumara Backpack is a rugged, lightweight pack named after an indigenous tribe in northern Mexico, famous for their running prowess. Ideal for use as a daypack, get-home-bag, or go-bag, the Tarahumara is a simple, stripped down pack designed to carry enough gear for a day in the field. It features two side pockets which fit many types of water bottle or canteen, and a padded sleeve that's great for hydration packs. HPG's standard shoulder harness with horizontal compression straps allows for comfortable all-day carry. A full length center zip means quick, ample internal access, while shock-corded tabs provide multiple external attachment points for bulkier gear.
Made in USA with rugged 500d nylon construction.
Two generous wand pockets (one on each side), big enough for USGI pattern 1qt bottles or 1.5qt round Nalgene bottles.
Internal hang tab for a water bladder; hose routes out the top of the zipper underneath the zipper hood.
Quilted padding on the body side with an exposed flat slot pocket suitable for stashing a netbook/tablet, machete, or tarp.
Comfortable contoured shoulder harness.
Can be used as a back pocket on our larger packs.
Parachute and cordlock compression / lashing system on bottom.
Dual horizontal compression straps allow you to carry larger items (like snowshoes for example) strapped vertically on the pack.
