Tarahumara Backpack, Waxed Canvas - Hill People Gear
- $156.99
HPG produced a special run of Waxed Canvas Tarahumara Backpacks for us. The Tarahumara pack is named after an indigenous tribe in northern Mexico, famous for their running prowess. In that spirit, the Tarahumara Backpack is a simple stripped down pack designed to carry 2 quarts of water and enough gear for a day in the field. With its very capable shoulder harness, horizontal compression straps, and shock-corded tabs, you've got multiple external attachment points for bulkier gear.
Please note: The current batch of Field Tan waxed canvas packs comes with Coyote 500d nylon harnesses. The Field Olive waxed canvas packs come with Field Olive waxed canvas harnesses.
Features include:
- Made in the USA
- Waxed Canvas construction provides protection from the elements
- Two generous wand pockets (one on each side), big enough for USGI pattern 1qt bottles or 1.5qt round Nalgene bottles.
- Internal hang tab for a water bladder; hose routes out the top of the zipper underneath the zipper hood.
- Quilted padding on the body side with an exposed flat slot pocket suitable for stashing a netbook/tablet, machete, or tarp.
- Comfortable contoured shoulder harness, also made from Waxed Canvas.
- Can be used as a back pocket on our larger packs.
- Parachute and cordlock compression / lashing system on bottom.
