This cord conforms to the MIL-C-87129A specification (Cord, Fibrous, Aramid Braided).  Kevlar cordage is heat-resistant and self-extinguishing at normal temperatures.  It has a very high tensile strength for its size, and a high length per linear foot.  MIL-C-87129A Kevlar cord was originally developed for use with cargo parachutes, and is popular for use in rocketry applications.
